As Time Goes By...

Time goes by and passion turns into a love that takes on a form and meaning that no couple could ever imagine, when they say... I do. If you are young, you probably understand this... but wait and you will come to understand how profound the covenant you made really is, after most of a lifetime passes. By that time, there are no goodbyes, just a deep profound eternal love born of time, pain, growth and hope and laughter that says...
"If you get there before I do, don't give up on me. I'll meet you when my chores are through. I don't know how long I'll be, but I'm not going to let you down. Darling, wait and see and between now and then, until I see you again...I'll be loving you. Love, Me" lyrics from Collin Raye

Managing Chronic Illnesses

Well, I'm back to counting spoons, again. So, I'm  sharing this technique with you. If you deal with chronic disease(s), it's useful to keep the "Spoon Theory" in mind.
It's a good way to stay at the top of YOUR game. Spoon inventory enables you to prioritize things in your life, get things done and get the rest you need. Sadly, we spoonies sometimes  think we can do so much more, in one or two days, because we're feeling great, only to end up needing significant downtime. Why waste precious days? Pace yourself and you will get more accomplished without having to spend time trying to recoup your energy and feeling sick or actually dealing with a major flare. One more thing, you don't need to explain yourself to anyone because you keep a daily spoon inventory...your true friends will understand because they want to see you well.
